Christmas Crafts - Paper Crafts - Christmas Tree Ornament - Swedish Heart (Woven Paper Heart) One Swedish Christmas tradition is making these paper heart bags for the children to hang on the Christmas tree. Each child receives one of these sweets filled bags. In the Swedish language these bags are called “Jhärtkorgar” and are really easy to craft. Follow the step-by-step tutorial and use our pattern to create your own to decorate your tree this year. Another highlight of the Swedish Christmas season is the holiday of St. Lucia which is celebrated on December 13th. It is the festival of light and the oldest daughter of each family becomes St. Lucia and wears a crown of candles on her head and is dressed in a white robe with a red sash at the waist.
