This is also fun for kids. Use cereal boxes, paint them, cut the basic shape out and let them have fun using the dimensional paint to make different designs.

1. Cut any shape out of a piece cardboard. Simple shapes look the best. Using dimensional paint (any choice of color) or thick craft glue, draw a border around the shape.

2. Be imaginative. Add more lines, dots, sprials and other patterns. The more designs, the more interesting.

3. Let the paint or glue dry for a few hours. Take your choice of color of acrylic paint and paint over the entire shape. When dry, 1 or 2 coats may be necessary. A quicker alternative is to use artist gesso first. Once dry, normally one one coat of paint is necessary. Paint the other side when the first side is finished.
